Our Beliefs

            SCRIPTURE

We believe the Scriptures are the inspired Word of God; hence, the sixty-six books of the Bible are inerrant and the sole authority for faith and practice.

            GODHEAD

We believe there is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that all three possess equally the same attributes, nature, perfections, and characteristics of personality.

            JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the full deity of the Lord Jesus Christ who always was and will be God and did not cease to be God at the incarnation.  We believe the Man Christ Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit; that He was born of the virgin Mary; that He died for the sin of all men; that He was buried; that He arose on the third day; that He ascended to the right hand of God the Father; that by His death He provided atonement for all men, but it is applied only to those who believe.

            HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit; that He is the infallible author and interpreter of the infallible Word; that He convicts, regenerates, indwells, empowers, instructs, and guides the believer in living, service, and worship through his gifts.

            MAN

We believe man was created in the image of God; that he fell through sin and lost his spiritual life; that he is dead in his trespasses and sins.

            SALVATION

All people are separated from God by their sinful nature until they trust Jesus Christ as Savior.  Salvation is from God and by God’s grace, not by any works people can do.  All the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever.

    ORDINANCES OF THE CHURCH

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water.  It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior.  The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby Christians, through the partaking of the bread and fruit of the vine, celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of Christ.

     FUTURE

God, who created the world, is the same God who will bring it to its end.  History is moving purposefully to its completion according to the plan of God.  In the last days, Jesus will return in the air for the purpose of gathering the church to Himself in what is referred to as the Pre-Tribulation Rapture.  Then at the end of the seven-year Tribulation Period, Jesus will return bodily to the earth at His Second Coming. At this time, He will establish His Millennial Kingdom on earth.

Furthermore, we affirm The 2000 Baptist Faith and Message http://www.sbc.net/bfm2000/bfm2000.asp

Becoming Groups

Becoming Groups strengthen our becoming journey

through a deeper connection as we pursue God.

Becoming Groups meet on Sunday morning at 9:00 am.

These groups are for all ages and meet on our church campus.

Some refer to this time as Sunday School.  It’s a great

time for Bible study and building relationships with those

who will encourage you in your pursuit of God.

Becoming Groups also gather outside of our normal Sunday

morning and evening worship services.  These groups are for men,

women, and mixed groups of men and women.  They typically

meet in the homes of the group leaders.  Information about the study

topics and when groups meet are announced in the weekly bulletin.

Children

Sunday School

Children’s Sunday School classes meet on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.  During

this time, children will be taught a Bible lesson in a fun and exciting manner.

Children’s Church

After the Sunday School hour, children sit with their parents in the

Sunday morning worship service then after the offertory prayer one of the

workers will lead them downstairs to the children’s church room (across

from the Fellowship Hall).  Children four years old through first grade

experience a fun, friendly, and Bible-centered lesson.

            Kids Connection

Kids Connection is our midweek program for children.  It meets on Wednesday

Evenings, 6-7:30 pm during the school year.  Each week the children enjoy

Games, prizes, weekly awards, as well as the learning of Scripture/Bible stories.

            Vacation Bible School

Every summer, we host a Vacation Bible School for our community.  It is a

fun and energetic week where children learn about God.  For kids going into

Kindergarten through sixth grade, each day will be packed with music,

teaching, games, crafts, snacks, and more.

Blessing Box

A community Blessing Box is located on the west side of the church’s front steps.
The Blessing Box is intended to help provide needed hygiene and/or food items to
anyone and everyone in need.  Donations may be placed directly in the box.

Welcome Ministries

            Parking Team

Members of the Parking Team provide traffic control and safety in our parking areas.
They are the first people to have the opportunity to greet those who are attending FBC.
It is their hope and prayer to love with God’s heart by extending a warm welcome to
                      everyone they have contact with.

            Hospitality Team

Members of the Hospitality Team seek to bring joy to others by preparing and

Serving refreshments before the Sunday School Hour on Sunday morning.

Their desire is that people experience Jesus’ tangible love through their service.

                    Security Team

Members of the Security Team are trained to be the eyes and ears of the church

in an effort to provide the congregation with a safe and secure place to worship

They apply reasonable, basic security measures to keep all safe and to maximize

the flow of ministry, undisturbed worship, and teaching that takes place at FBC.
